The pale tussock moth caterpillar.

I'm just a Caterpillar,

With a plan,

To safely hide,

And metamorphosis.

I may be smart,

With funky hair,

But my life cycle,

Doesn't finish there.

I munch on leaves,

Until I'm plump,

Moulting skin,

Until I'm all full up!

I find a place,

To cucoon,

As adulthood,

Is coming soon!

Fluffy legs,

And body change,

While wings develop,

And colours fade.

Over winter,

I'll hibernate,

Before waking in spring,

To pro-create.
