Sun drenched walk.

What a stunning day! The ponies and donkeys were making the most of getting some warmth on their backs. The sun in the trees and the dazzling light on the heath was a delight. Chaffinches and robins filled the woodland with song while being joined by a background percussion from a greater spotted woodpecker hammering his territory. The heathland was drenched in sun, giving a stunning 360 view from this highpoint. 3 buzzards were circling and calling high on the thermals while stonechats were making their raspy call from the top of gorse bushes. Brimestones and red admiral butterflies fluttered in the cool breeze and I am very excited that spring is on its way!
