December's Newsletter.

This month, we successfully avoided bad weather and enjoyed a lovely walk at Setthorns, exploring diverse habitats, as well as walks at Pondhead and Parkhill. Another delightful winter walk involved searching for dragons and discussing the old New Forest tradition of charcoal burning.

Remember, I now offer 2 free walks each month, and in January, we'll be walking at Fritham, looking for evidence of the old gunpowder factory while experiencing the winter nature and wildlife in woodlands and heaths. We'll also revisit New Forest folklore during the Boldre walk, searching for the Stratford Lyon, and finish with the option of Sunday dinner at the Red Lion pub. Please reserve your spots as they are limited.

In December, it seems we've experienced every type of weather, which can be disruptive for wildlife. Hedgehogs are coming out of hibernation only to face cold conditions, birds are struggling to find food due to a scarcity of berries and nuts this year, and even the new forest ponies are taking shelter among the trees to endure the storm, which hinders their natural grazing and browsing habits. During this season of goodwill, consider placing a bird feeder in your garden for the wildlife. If you encounter a wild animal in distress, you can contact the Moyles Court wildlife hospital at 01425477500. They do incredible work for our local wildlife and always appreciate support. This year, instead of friends sending me a gift, I have requested donations be made to them. You can order something to be sent directly to them from their Amazon list, which you will find below if you wanted to do the same.

Or donate directly to them using this PayPal QR code

In addition to the free walks, I provided a visit to Knowlton Church this month. I am beginning to offer walks to spiritual and sacred sites that provide a practical aspect to the energy flow conversations. During these visits, we explore the energetics of these ceremonial locations and discuss ways to shift blocked energies to benefit visitors, nature, and Mother Earth. In January, we will be visiting Breamore Mizmaze, and a 20% discount is available for subscribers to the Nature and Nurture membership.

Breamore Mizmaze by Roz Tucker

This month, I had the pleasure of engaging with inspiring individuals during the energy flow conversation and a fully booked workshop. My work feels truly rewarding when people, with a bit of understanding and encouragement, realize how easy it is to tap into their own healing abilities and well-being without any unnecessary embellishments. I cherish these events because I learn so much from you and your experiences, and when people connect with themselves intuitively, it reveals what we've been told is strange but is actually a natural ability we all possess. It's akin to connecting with our animal instincts without the need for extravagant rituals or behaviors. If you're interested in joining the next inspiring workshop, I'm hosting the Fundamentals of Energy Healing Workshop (suitable for all levels) in January.

How can it be for all levels you ask?

Whether you're simply curious or an experienced healer aiming to enhance your skills, I guide you in tapping into your innate intuitive healing abilities. There's no need to invoke masters, guides, or angels, or to use sacred symbols to connect. This is a capability we all possess, and I can teach you how to discover, connect with, and utilise it, offering limitless possibilities and outcomes with practice.

It appears that most people and animals who have sought me out for healing this month have felt the need to do so surrounded by nature. This is unsurprising, as December brings the darkest days, yet nature is also embracing the stillness. With bare branches, nature observes its surroundings and reflects back to us the necessity of stillness, rather than succumbing to the Christmas hustle. Nature therapy has been a major focus for me this month, and I gladly venture into the woods, parks, or even gardens to help individuals realise that their fears, anxieties, and pain can be alleviated by reconnecting with the rhythms of the seasons and nature. Each session varies based on needs, but Mother Nature consistently supports profound healing sessions, whether in a therapy room, among the trees, or in a garden. She always guides me to find the right words, the appropriate energetic frequency, and the ideal place to be.

While on a walk, a dog approached me needing some healing. I paused to talk with the owner, who thought I was just making a fuss of her wonderful dog. However, the dog received the healing it needed, gave my hand a quick lick, and continued on its way, sniffing and bouncing. Ponies also approach me for the same reason. The beauty of intuitive healing is that it can be sent from a distance, so none of the New Forest ponies interacted with humans during my walk—at least not physically! 😆

In January, watch for long-tail tits at your feeder as they gather and chatter. Crocuses and snowdrops begin to emerge, and you might hear alarm calls from garden birds as sparrowhawks frequent feeding stations for an easy catch. On winter walks, appreciate the structure and stories in the trees with their bare branches. Birds are more visible among them, and you might spot a treecreeper climbing around the tree trunks. You may also hear the calls and see redwings and fieldfares, our winter visitors, feasting on holly berries. Colourful twigs and buds fill the bogs and heaths, while wrens keep busy among log piles. Remember, forestry work occurs during the winter months, so please follow signs as there may be dangerous machinery operating in the woodlands.

I am so grateful to everyone who has supported my work by subscribing to the Nature and Nurture membership. Your support allows me to continue offering 2 free walks each month and a free spot at all my paid events making nature and well-being accessible to all. I wish to provide free healing and nature therapy sessions to those who currently cannot afford them. If you would like to help make this possible, please consider signing up for the membership.

You can cancel anytime and during December, I am offering a month's free trial, where you can binge on the articles and audios until now and enjoy discounts for healing and events.

Lastly, I extend a heartfelt thank you for your ongoing support. New Forest Nature and Nurture has once more transformed in 2024, and I am committed to evolving and expanding my small business to support you, nature, and wildlife.

Thank you to all who have bought wreaths this month, signed up to the membership and ventured out in the cold to join me for workshops and walks.

You are my business, and you are the ones I am thankful to and learn from. So, with all my heart, thank you, I wish you a wonderful Christmas.

If you are looking for a last minute gift, you can buy a gift card that can be used for any of my services.

Starting today, I will be out of the office and offline until Monday, the 30th, to enjoy some quality time with my husband Phil. I am excited about what 2025 will bring, and I look forward to seeing you then.

With love, Jen x
